Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. See below for a list of approved technology certifications.

Person-Borne Explosive Detection Canine (PB-EDC)

Approved: April 17, 2026 | Expires: April 30, 2029

K2K9 Solutions, LLC provides Person-Borne Explosive Detection Canine (PB-EDC). The Technology is an explosive detection canine service providing PB-EDCTs. Teams are trained to detect explosives carried by individuals, e.g., in backpacks or on clothing, by following the path of air molecules flowing from explosive material.


Certified Cargo Screening Facility – Canine (CCSP)

Approved: April 17, 2026 | Expires: March 31, 2030

K2K9 Solutions, LLC provides Certified Cargo Screening Facility-Canine (CCSF-K9) in accordance with directives issued by the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) for the screening and securing of cargo which will be transported on passenger and all-cargo aircraft (the Technology).


Single-Purpose Explosives Detection Canine (SP-EDC)

K2K9 Solutions, LLC provides Single-Purpose Explosives Detection Canine (SP-EDC). The Technology is an explosive detection canine service comprised of one handler and one canine deployed to locate explosives in stationary objects such as vehicles, luggage, bags, and cargo at commercial and U.S. Government locations in the United States.


The Deer District LLC Security Program for Fiserv Forum

Approved: February 13, 2026 | Expires: March 31, 2031

Deer District LLC and Milwaukee Bucks, LLC provide Deer District LLC Security Program for Fiserv Forum (the Technology). The Technology is a comprehensive security program designed to detect, deter, prevent, respond to, and mitigate acts of terrorism and security threats against attendees, visitors, staff, and employees during event days and non-event days at the Fiserv Forum, which includes the adjacent Entertainment Plaza and the Sports Science Center, and 5th Street and Highland Avenue parking structure.


SkyTracker Technology Suite of Counter-UAS Systems, including the CORIAN Base Model

Approved: February 13, 2026 | Expires: February 28, 2031

CACI, INC. – FEDERAL provides SkyTracker Technology Suite of Counter-UAS Systems, including the CORIAN Base Model. The Technology is designed to detect, identify, monitor, and track unauthorized Unmanned Aircraft Systems within a designated airspace and identify the location of the operator controlling the Unmanned Aircraft System. The Technology also includes support services such as site layout, training, and installation support as well as installation, user, administration, and maintenance guides.


Security Services/Security Guard Services

Approved: February 13, 2026 | Expires: September 30, 2031

Securitas AB; Securitas Holdings, Inc.; Securitas Services, Inc. (D/B/A Securitas, Inc.); Pinkerton’s LLC; Securitas Critical Infrastructure Services, Inc.; Securitas Critical Infrastructure Services of Puerto Rico, Inc.; and Paragon Systems, Inc. provide Security Services/Security Guard Services. The Technology is a package of security services using armed and unarmed security officers, and includes baseline and annual refresher anti-terrorism training. The Technology also includes policies and procedures, hiring and vetting protocols, a quality control program, and advanced training for response to acts of terrorism involving weapons of mass destruction.


Stalwart Anti-Ram Passive Cable Barrier System

Approved: February 13, 2026 | Expires: February 29, 2032

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA Inc. provides Anti-Ram Passive Cable Barrier Systems. The Technology is a passive cable vehicle security barrier intended to create a standoff distance around protected areas and facilities. The Technology also includes related accessories (e.g., privacy slats and rail covers), recommendations for qualified installers, a warranty, and maintenance guidelines.


Alliance Security Program

Approved: February 13, 2026 | Expires: February 28, 2031

Classic Security, LLC d/b/a Alliance Security provides Alliance Security Guard Services. The Technology is physical security services, and the unarmed security officers provide access control, foot patrols, monitor closed-circuit television, and screen people, vehicles, and packages. The Technology includes the hiring, vetting, and training, as well as quality control processes, and a proprietary Command Center.


Wrigley Field Campus Security Program

Approved: February 12, 2026 | Expires: April 30, 2031

Chicago Cubs Baseball Club, LLC, provides the Wrigley Field Campus Security Program. The Technology is the development, implementation, and recurring review and update of a 24/7 security program at the Campus, the home of the Chicago Cubs Major League Baseball (MLB) Club located in Chicago, Illinois.


Screening and Security Services

Approved: February 09, 2026 | Expires: February 28, 2031

Lufthansa Cargo AG provides Lufthansa Screening and Security Services. The Technology is cargo screening services under the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) programs within the United States and its territories. The Technology also includes training and quality control audits for the TSA cargo screening regulations.
