Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. See below for a list of approved technology certifications.

National Football League

Approved: January 22, 2024 | Expires: January 31, 2029

National Football League (NFL) provides NFL Best Practices Program. The Technology is grounded in the NFL Best Practices for Stadium Security, or the NFL Best Practices. The NFL Best Practices is a comprehensive set of guidelines for stadium security management designed to deter and defend against terrorist attacks at sports stadiums. The NFL delivers and implements its NFL Best Practices through its Stadium Security Evaluation and Compliance Program and through its Stadium Security Training Program, which are designed to promote compliance with the NFL Best Practices at each stadium in which NFL games are played. The Technology does not include each NFL club’s or stadium owner’s or operator’s implementation of the Technology.


Ameristar Perimeter Security USA Inc.

Approved: December 26, 2023 | Expires: December 31, 2028

Ameristar Perimeter Security USA Inc. provides Impasse & Impasse II High Security Palisade Fence System. The Technology is high security fencing intended to deter, delay, or prevent intruders from gaining access to an asset or launching attacks from the area immediately outside a facility’s perimeter. The Technology also includes related accessories, installation recommendations, a warranty, and maintenance guidelines.


Contemporary Services Corporation

Approved: December 21, 2023 | Expires: December 31, 2028

Contemporary Services Corporation and Event Services America, Inc., provides Event Security Services. The Technology is an event security service that consists of a comprehensive security program composed of policies, procedures, physical and electronic security equipment, and trained personnel that provide protection, deterrence, and response to acts of terrorism against places of public assembly, including arenas, stadiums, performing arts venues, convention centers, racetracks, and outdoor events.


New Meadowlands Stadium Company LLC

Approved: December 21, 2023 | Expires: December 31, 2028

New Meadowlands Stadium Company, LLC, provides the MetLife Stadium Security Program (the “Technology”). The Technology is an integrated security program composed of physical and electronic security measures, policies and procedures, and personnel, designed to detect, deter, prevent, respond to, and mitigate Acts of Terrorism for use exclusively at Met Life Stadium, inclusive of the Stadium and parking lots, during National Football League (“NFL”) Game Days, Non-Game Days, and Special Events.


Leidos

Approved: December 19, 2023 | Expires: December 31, 2028

Leidos, Inc., a Delaware corporation provides the VACIS XPL Passenger Car Inspection System, a non-intrusive inspection system used for scanning motorcycles, passenger cars, and buses. The Technology comes in fixed (XPL or Plaza XPL), and mobile (MXPL) configurations.


Walt Disney Parks and Resorts U.S., Inc. (WDPR)

Approved: December 19, 2023 | Expires: May 31, 2029

Walt Disney Parks and Resorts U.S., Inc. (WDPR), a Florida corporation (the Seller), deploys the Walt Disney Security Program. The Technology is comprehensive and integrated system of planning and operational measures designed to protect and defend guests, visitors, Cast Members, and property at the Walt Disney World Resort.


Queens Ballpark Company, L.L.C.

Approved: December 01, 2023 | Expires: December 31, 2028

Queens Ballpark Company, L.L.C., a wholly owned indirect subsidiary of Sterling Mets, L.P, and other listed Sellers, provide the Citi Field Security Program (the "Technology"). The Technology is an integrated security program composed of physical and electronic security measures, tools, procedures and personnel designed to detect, deter, prevent, respond to, and mitigate Acts of Terrorism at Citi Field during Major League Baseball Game Days, Non-Game Days (In-Season), Non-Season Days, and Special Events. The Technology includes 24/7 security coverage and incorporates systems and security practices as well as the selection and maintenance of electronic security measures and the hiring, vetting, training, and management oversight of its employees and contractors.


Rapiscan

Approved: November 30, 2023 | Expires: July 30, 2026

Rapiscan Systems, Inc. provides the Baggage and Parcel Inspection (BPI) System. The Technology is non-intrusive X-ray devices using ionizing radiation, software, and hardware to create a display for an operator of a density-based picture that outlines shapes and material types contained in baggage, parcels, or other containers. This Technology is designed to be effective against conventional explosives or incendiary weapons to include improvised explosives. Also included in the Technology are associated products and services such as: operator training; system installation and integration; preventative maintenance; warranty and maintenance services; spare parts; personnel qualifications; technical manuals; image interpretation aids; system removal; peripherals; and software and hardware upgrades.


Universal Protection Service d/b/a Allied Universal

Approved: November 07, 2023 | Expires: November 30, 2028

Universal Protection Service, LP d/b/a Allied Universal Security Services and Universal Protection Service, LLC d/b/a Allied Universal Security Services provide Shopping Mall Security Services. The Technology is physical security project management, and trained, unarmed security officers, at shopping mall facilities throughout the United States. The Technology includes security operations supported by onsite management and regional offices.


Las Vegas Arena Management, LLC

Approved: October 27, 2023 | Expires: November 30, 2026

Las Vegas Arena Company, LLC and Las Vegas Arena Management, LLC, provide the T-Mobile Arena Security Program. The Technology is a series of physical, electronic, and procedural measures developed and implemented at T-Mobile Arena with the intent to deter, detect, and respond to acts of terrorism.
