Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. SAFRAN USA, Inc., Morpho Detection, Inc., and Morpho Detection International, Inc. provide the EntryScan®4. The Technology, the EntryScan®4, is a non-intrusive, walk-through Explosives Trace Portal (ETP) used to detect explosives concealed on the human body or explosives residue remaining on the body after handling explosives. The Technology emits gentle puffs of air from jets to dislodge particles and following collection and concentration of samples, uses Ion Trap Mobility Spectrometry (ITMS®) to detect explosives, if present. The Technology also includes installation, testing, operator and administrator training, and maintenance services.
