Using the Search Tab

The Search tab is the third tab displayed in the navigation panel of the Help page. This tab enables you to search for all help topics that contain a specific word. The Search tab is most useful when you are searching for information about a specific word that does not display in the index.

To find a topic using the Search tab:

  1. On the Help page, click the Search tab.
  2. On the Search tab, enter a keyword or phrase for which you are searching. The search list then displays all of the topics in Help that contain the keyword or phrase you entered. For example, enter "search tab" to find topics containing that exact phrase.
  3. In the search list, click the topic you want to view. The corresponding topic displays in the right panel of the Help page.

    If multiple topics contain the word or phrase for which you are searching, they display in a list below the search field. The number of topics found displays at the bottom of the list; for example, "2 result(s) found."
