Downloading Plug-Ins

Plug-ins refer to software that acts as an add-on to a web browser and gives the browser additional functionality. Most reference materials are formatted as either Adobe Acrobat PDF files, Microsoft Word documents, or Microsoft PowerPoint documents. In order to download and view these files you need the corresponding program installed on your local machine.

To download plug-ins in order to view reference materials:

  1. In the SAFETY Act footer panel, click the Download Plugins link. The Download Plugins page displays.
  2. Click the link for the plug-in you want to install.

    A new browser window opens outside of the SAFETY Act website, displaying the download page for that plug-in. Follow the instructions provided by Adobe or Microsoft to download and install the plug-in.
  3. Click the Close button.
