Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. See below for a list of approved technology certifications.

E.J. Brooks Company Approved: June 19, 2009 \| Expires: July 31, 2014 E.J. Brooks Company provides High Security Bolt and Cable Seals. The Technology is an ISO 17712 (Freight containers - Mechanical seals) certified, single-use device that provides the function of both a seal and lock for cargo containers and truck trailers.. The Technology models that are covered within this definition are the Trans Rod Security Seal, Cable to Cable Seal 2000, CSI Bolt Seal, Global Lok, Intermodal II Bolt Seals, Intermodal IV Bolt Seals, 1/8” Multi-Lok Cable Seals, and the Rod-Lok II.

The Technology is a combination of services as provided by Gregg’s Safeguards and Security Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) and the Gregg Threat Assessment Program (G-TAP), its proprietary software. The G-TAP software technology is a computerized documentation aid for a SME vulnerability analyst to when evaluating the effectiveness of a protection system against a specified threat. The Technology is a millimeter wave detector designed to image suspicious objects present on a subject person from a stand-off distance. It can be used alone or integrated with other security devices to create a more complete security solution. Maintenance, warranty services, selection and qualification of distributors, spare parts sales, and all relevant technical documentation are included in the Technology.

The Technology also includes specifications and recommendations for the training, monitoring, cleaning, or testing of cameras, monitors, alarms, card readers, power systems, and other security items.

The Techlogy is a desktop explosives detection system. It is designed through use of a desktop unit, a wand, and a sample wipe to detect explosive related substances on objects down to nanogram levels.
