Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. See below for a list of approved technology certifications.

Staff Pro Inc. d/b/a Allied Universal

Approved: October 17, 2023 | Expires: September 30, 2025

Staff Pro Inc. d/b/a Allied Universal Event Services provides Event Security Services. The Technology provides physical security and crowd management services at sports, entertainment, convention, and special event venues using unarmed security personnel.


VMD Systems Integrators, Inc.

Approved: October 05, 2023 | Expires: October 31, 2028

VMD Systems Integrators, Inc. provides Screening Partnership Program Services, Airport Passenger and Baggage Screening Services. The Technology is provided under the Transportation Security Administration’s (TSA’s) Screening Partnership Program (SPP). It consists of trained and certified personnel who conduct passenger, airport employee, and baggage screening in accordance with TSA guidelines and standard operating procedures.


First & Goal Inc.

Approved: October 02, 2023 | Expires: October 31, 2028

First & Goal Inc. provides Lumen Field Security Program. The Technology is the Applicant’s implementation of the National Football League’s (NFL) Best Practices for Stadium Security, resulting in a program comprised of physical and electronic security equipment, tools, emergency planning processes and procedures, and properly trained personnel. The Technology applies to the entire stadium property, including the seating bowl and suites; gates; loading dock; inner and secondary perimeters; field; locker rooms; area housing utility and mechanical systems; command center; and parking areas.


San Diego Padres

Approved: September 29, 2023 | Expires: August 31, 2025

Padres L.P., Padres GP, LLC, San Diego Ballpark Funding LLC, and RSNCO LLC provide Petco Park Security Program (the Technology). The Technology is deployed during Game Days, Event Days, Non-Event Days, Special Events, Gallagher Square (formerly Park at the Park) Events, and Functions for use at Petco Park Stadium. The Technology is a comprehensive, integrated security program based on Major League Baseball’s Best Stadium Operating Practices, other sports industry best practices, other industry practices, and government recommendations; and is comprised of physical and electronic anti-terrorism security measures, tools, policies and procedures, and trained personnel designed to detect, deter, prevent, respond to, and mitigate acts of terrorism against Petco Park and ballpark ticketholders, visitors, staff, and employees.


Rohde Schwarz USA, Inc.

Approved: September 20, 2023 | Expires: September 30, 2028

Rhode & Schwarz USA, Inc. and Rohde and Schwarz GmbH and Co. KG (Munich, Germany) provides QPS201 Security Scanner. The Technology is a millimeter wave Advanced Imaging Technology personnel screening system that detects anomalies on a person. The system consists of two flat panels that a person stands between for scanning and a computer and the complete system contains no moving parts. The scanner uses a machine learning algorithm to identify anomalies on a person and highlights the location of the anomalies on a generic avatar. The determination of whether an anomaly is a threat is dependent on the customer’s concept of operations, and outside the scope of the Technology. The Technology is designed to screen people entering secure locations such as airports and other secure locations. The Technology also includes support services, and documentation


Hardwire, LLC

Approved: September 05, 2023 | Expires: August 31, 2028

Hardwire, LLC provides Armor Protective Solutions. The Technology a passive physical shield installed over vulnerable cable bridge components (cables and their anchorage points) to them from a variety of attack methods (e.g., mechanical, thermal, ballistic, explosive).


Cakeboxx Technologies

Approved: August 28, 2023 | Expires: September 30, 2028

CakeBoxx Technologies, LLC provides CakeBoxx High Security Containers. The Technology is line of secure two-piece shipping containers consisting of a deck and lid that have no doors. The Technology also includes technical documentation, user manuals, and a warranty.


ASIS International, Inc.

Approved: August 27, 2023 | Expires: September 30, 2028

ASIS International, Inc., which is an association of security professionals, through its Professional Certification Board, provides the Professional Certification Program, a process for the certification and recertification of security professionals.


Rapiscan Systems, Inc.

Approved: August 22, 2023 | Expires: August 31, 2028

Rapiscan Systems, Inc. and its subsidiaries provide Cargo and Vehicle Inspection Systems. The Technology is a line of devices that use X-ray radiation to scan vehicles, containers, rail, and cargo for threats. The Technology can be configured to use backscatter technology if desired. Technology also includes installation, training (operation, maintenance, and safety), warranty, maintenance, repair services, and the qualified field personnel to perform such services.


South Florida Stadium LLC

Approved: August 17, 2023 | Expires: August 31, 2028

South Florida Stadium LLC, Miami Dolphins, Ltd., and SFS Events, LLC provide South Florida Stadium LLC Security Program for Hard Rock Stadium. The Technology is the Applicant’s implementation of the National Football League’s (NFL) Best Practices for Stadium Security, resulting in a program comprised of a comprehensive program comprised of threat and vulnerability assessments, security planning, physical and electronic security equipment, tools, emergency planning processes and procedures, and properly trained personnel, and which covers the entire Hard Rock Stadium property, including the seating bowl and suites, gates, loading dock, inner and secondary perimeters, field, locker rooms, areas housing utility and mechanical systems, command center, and parking areas.
