Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. Itemiser 5X Approved: July 28, 2025 | Expires: August 30, 2030 Rapiscan Systems, Inc., provides Itemiser® 5X. The Technology is a portable, desktop device for trace detection of explosives. The Technology detects trace amounts of explosive residue on soft (e.g., luggage, clothing, skin), hard (e.g., laptops, mobile devices), and other surfaces. The Technology also includes maintenance and repair services, manuals, and training.
