The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. The Technology is an integrated security system designed to detect, deter, prevent, respond to, and mitigate acts of terrorism against One Five One tenants, visitors, and staff, and is deployed exclusively at One Five One West 42nd Street, New York, New York, against acts of terrorism. The Technology also includes threat and vulnerability programs; integrated policies and procedures; trained personnel; and physical and electronic anti-terrorism security measures.
