Approved Technologies

The SAFETY Act provides two levels of liability protections for approval: Designation and Certification. By obtaining either Designation or Certification, companies obtain a level of legal protection in case their technology is ever put to use during a terrorist attack. See below for a list of approved technology certifications.

Terrorism Financing Detection Program Approved: August 12, 2025 | Expires: September 30, 2030 The Western Union Company provides the Counter-Financing of Terrorism System, the Technology. The Technology is an internally deployed program, consisting of policies, staff, and software, for vetting transactions over the Applicant’s money services network to deter, prevent, detect and/or mitigate the financing for acts of terrorism.
FinClusive Capital, Inc. Approved: June 27, 2025 | Expires: July 31, 2030 FinClusive Capital, Inc. provides Terrorism Financing Detection Program. The Technology is a cloud-hosted software platform that enables customers to complete financial crimes compliance screens (i.e., anti-money laundering, know your customer, and customer due diligence) on parties making transactions via their business.
